Mission Statement and Agenda |
Mission Statement and AgendaBalt-Military-ExpoBalt-Military-Expo has been organised since 1998. Its 10th anniversary edition will be held in 2008. Honorary Auspices over the 10th anniversary Balt-Military-Expo are held by the Minister of National Defence.
The aim of the BALT-MILITARY-EXPO Baltic Military Fair is to present cutting-edge weaponry, equipment and accessories based on the latest technological solutions to serve defence, security, safety and emergency rescue at sea and on the coast, to the Polish Navy and other types of forces, and for the services of the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
BME focuses on the military issues of naval defence and security, the defence and security of sea borders, and rescue issues. BME is dedicated to the Polish Navy, the special forces of the Polish Army, Border Guard, Police and State Fire Service.
BALT-MILITARY-EXPO also plays a significant role as a platform for meetings and the exchange of opinion between defence technology providers and users: the executive staff and officer corps of the Polish Army, as well as the services subject to the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
BME is accompanied by equipment presentations and rescue shows, which have not only a professional but also educational dimension through promoting the work of the services responsible for security among the public, popularising defence issues and knowledge about Poland’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
BME is organised in partnership with the Polish Army, the Ministry of the Economy, the services subject to the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Polish Chamber of National Defence Manufacturers.
Balt-Military-Expo is an event with established international renown and the only trade show in Poland dedicated to the technology and equipment needs of the Polish Navy. BME’s exhibitors include such international corporations as: BAE SYSTEMS, BLOHM + VOSS, KONGSBERG, RAYTHEON, SAAB, THALES and companies from the Polish military industry, including: BUMAR, CMT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, MORATEX, PZL POLISH AVIATION FACTORY, P.I.T. TELECOMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE, and STOCZNIA PÓŁNOCNA.

Every year BME is visited by a delegation of military attachés accredited in Poland and by a large group of guest from abroad, who represent military formations and arms producers.
The 10th anniversary BALT-MILITARY-EXPO Baltic Military Fair, 25-27 June 2008, will take place at the Gdańsk International Fair Co. (MTG S.A.) Exhibition Centre, 5 Beniowskiego St., Gdańsk, Poland. The opening ceremony will be held on June 25, 2008 at 12:00.
Just as in previous years BME will provide an abundance of accompanying events: shows, presentations and conferences. In partnership with the Polish Navy, we will continue a conference series on maritime security and military technologies. As organisers, we will hold presentations at the exhibition venue, i.e. military shows to illustrate one of the aspects of our forces’ participation in peace and stability missions. For the general public, we will organise shows to present Polish Army special units, counter-terrorist units, and rescue services in action.
